Connect your assistant
Use tidystation from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor through its MCP server.
A connected assistant can read, add and change your projects, tasks, milestones and notes, and carry out the triage and plans you choose. It's told to work from the priorities you set and to reorder your day only when you ask.
The connector URL:
https://app.tidystation.com/api/mcpSettings › Integrations › AI apps in tidystation copies it for you.
Before you connect
Sign in to tidystation in your browser first. The connection belongs to whichever tidystation account is signed in when you approve it, and your assistant can't switch accounts later.
Claude
tidystation is listed in Claude's connector directory.
- In Claude, open the connector directory and search for tidystation.
- Connect, then approve access while signed in to the right tidystation account.
If your workspace doesn't show the directory, add tidystation as a custom connector instead:
- Open Claude's connector settings and add a custom connector named
tidystation. - Paste the connector URL.
- Connect, then approve access while signed in to the right tidystation account.
Connectors depend on your Claude plan and workspace settings.
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT's settings for custom connectors (MCP). Whether you have them depends on your plan and workspace.
- Add the connector URL with OAuth. No client ID is needed.
- Approve access while signed in to the right tidystation account.
- Start a chat with tidystation turned on and ask for something read-only first, like "What's on today?".
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http tidystation https://app.tidystation.com/api/mcpThen run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in when your browser opens.
Cursor
Cursor needs a client ID. Copy it from Settings › Integrations › AI apps, then add tidystation to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"tidystation": {
"url": "https://app.tidystation.com/api/mcp",
"auth": {
"CLIENT_ID": "<your client ID>",
"scopes": ["tidystation:read", "tidystation:write", "offline_access"]
}
}
}
}Sign in from Cursor's MCP settings.
What your assistant can do
- Read your overview, projects, tasks, notes and milestones, the triage queue, today and your plan.
- Add projects, sections, folders, notes, milestones, categories, and up to 25 tasks at a time.
- Change tasks (up to 25 at a time), notes, projects, sections, folders and milestones. New text goes at the end of a note by default. Replacing a note's text works only if the note hasn't changed since your assistant last read it.
- Triage and order your day, with the outcome and the order you give it.
- Trash and restore tasks and notes. It never deletes them for good.
Shipping or archiving a milestone, and deleting a project, section, folder or milestone, take 2 steps: a preview of what will change, then a confirmation. Your assistant is told to show you the preview and wait for your yes.
Your decisions stay yours
tidystation tells your assistant to use only the dates and estimates you state, and to never rank your tasks, recommend a triage outcome or pick a day. tidystation itself runs no AI.
What stays in the app
- Uploads, attachments and project icons
- Billing, account settings and deleting your account
- Calendar connections
- Timers, focus sessions and reminders
- Editing how a task repeats
- Settings such as your weekday hours, and renaming, reordering or removing categories
- Reordering projects
Limits
Each account can make 120 requests and 60 changes a minute. Batch tools count each item as a change. Over the limit, your assistant gets "Too many connector requests. Try again in a minute."
Disconnect or switch accounts
Disconnect tidystation in your assistant's settings; the next request fails. To use another account, disconnect, sign in to tidystation as that account in your browser, then connect again.
Connected before 30 September 2026? Your connection may be read-only. Reconnect to let your assistant make changes.
