How does each one handle the hours in a day?

TickTick time-blocks: you drag to create and resize blocks on a week timeline, and task durations (start and end time) are Premium. Its help center describes no per-weekday hours, workload or capacity check. In tidystation each weekday has its hours and each task can carry an estimate. Every day shows its load against its hours, so you see which days are over before they start.

How does each one handle goals and deadlines?

A TickTick task has a due date, reminders and a progress percentage, and TickTick adds habits and countdowns. Its help center describes no milestones and no on-track or behind status. In tidystation a milestone is a goal with a date: it weighs the work left against the hours you have before that date and says on track, behind or won’t fit.

How does each one handle the Eisenhower matrix?

The Eisenhower matrix sorts a task by whether it is urgent and whether it is important. TickTick’s matrix is a built-in 4-quadrant board that shows all your tasks. A rule decides where each one lands: its priority; its priority and date, so tasks move as deadlines approach; or a custom rule by list or tag, time range and priority. tidystation’s Triage shows 1 open task at a time, from every project, and you answer with 1 key: do it now, schedule it, delegate it with a check-back day, or drop it.

Moving over from TickTick

There is no importer into tidystation. TickTick has an official MCP server with setup documented for Claude and ChatGPT, and its help center lists task search and filtering among the server’s tools (it calls them basic operations, and doesn’t say whether they need Premium). Connect Claude to TickTick and to tidystation and ask it to copy your open TickTick tasks across; tidystation takes up to 25 per request. Then run both side by side for your 14 days free, and set reminders and repeat rules in the tidystation app: copied tasks don’t carry them.

Setup: Connect your assistant.

How we checked

We read TickTick’s own pricing, subscription terms, help center, developer docs and App Store listing on 13 October 2026. Every statement about TickTick on this page comes from the pages listed here, and every statement about tidystation comes from the product.

Where this page says TickTick’s help center describes no per-weekday hours, workload check or milestone status, we searched the full text of 96 articles in its help center. The monthly price is the one on TickTick’s US App Store listing; we didn’t confirm it on ticktick.com or check regional prices. TickTick’s pricing table marks calendar view, the Eisenhower matrix, widgets, themes and statistics as Basic on Free and Unlimited on Premium, and doesn’t say what Basic limits. TickTick also doesn’t say which plan includes Pomodoro estimates, or whether its MCP server, CLI and Open API need Premium.

Questions

Does TickTick have a Pomodoro timer?

Yes. TickTick has a built-in Pomodoro timer (25 minutes of work and a 5-minute break by default) and a stopwatch, on mobile, desktop and web. You start one from a task, a reminder or the Focus tab, and the focus record attaches to the task. Each task can carry an estimate, in Pomodoros or as a duration, and statistics run by week, month and year. TickTick doesn’t say which plan includes estimates.

Does TickTick have an Eisenhower matrix?

Yes. TickTick has a built-in 4-quadrant matrix. A rule places each task by priority, by priority and date, or by a custom rule, and dragging a task to another quadrant rewrites its priority. It is listed as Basic on the Free plan and Unlimited on Premium, and TickTick doesn’t say what Basic limits. tidystation’s Triage asks the same question 1 task at a time, and it has no quadrant board.

Does TickTick show if I have too much planned for a day?

TickTick’s help center describes no per-weekday hours setting and no workload, capacity or overload warning. Its timeline can hide early and late hours as a display choice. In tidystation you set each weekday’s hours, and Today and Plan show each day’s load against them.

Does TickTick have milestones?

TickTick’s help center describes no milestones and no on-track or behind status. A task has a due date, reminders and a progress percentage, and TickTick also has habits and countdowns (5 of each on Free, 299 on Premium). In tidystation a milestone is a goal with a date, and it says on track, behind or won’t fit.

Can TickTick time-block tasks?

Yes. You drag to create and resize blocks on a week timeline, and an Arrange Tasks panel drops undated tasks in. Task durations (start and end time) are Premium. In tidystation each day is an ordered list measured against its hours, and a task can carry a time like 3pm; there is no hourly calendar.

Does TickTick have AI?

Yes, on Premium. TickTick’s AI Assistant is a chat that creates tasks, breaks down goals, plans a day, week or month and reviews progress. It runs on web, macOS and mobile, not yet on Windows, with a monthly quota. tidystation has no AI of its own.

Does TickTick have an MCP server?

Yes. MCP is how an assistant such as Claude connects to an app, and TickTick has an official MCP server, an official CLI and a public Open API. Its help center documents MCP setup for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini (beta), Grok, Perplexity, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex CLI, among others, and says the server supports basic operations. TickTick doesn’t say whether the MCP server, CLI or Open API needs Premium. tidystation’s connector works with Claude, ChatGPT, Dots, Claude Code and Cursor, and applies what you tell them.

How much does TickTick cost?

TickTick Premium costs US$49.99 a year, or US$4.99 a month on the US App Store. There is also a permanent free plan with 9 lists and 99 tasks or notes per list, and students and educators get 25% off the yearly plan. tidystation costs US$7 a month or US$60 a year, with 14 days free and no free plan.

Can I bring my TickTick tasks into tidystation?

There is no importer. TickTick’s MCP server lists task search and filtering among its tools, and its help center doesn’t say whether it needs Premium. Connect Claude to TickTick and to tidystation and ask it to copy your open TickTick tasks across; tidystation takes up to 25 per request. You set reminders and repeat rules in the tidystation app; copied tasks don’t carry them.

Can I share lists or assign tasks in tidystation?

No. tidystation is for 1 person, with no shared workspaces and no seats. TickTick has shared lists with assignees, comments and per-member permissions, with 2 members on Free and 29 on Premium. Only the list owner needs Premium.

Does tidystation have a phone app?

No. tidystation runs in your browser on a laptop or desktop. If you need your tasks on a phone or watch, TickTick has apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Apple Watch and Wear OS.
